The Return of the Candied Peel


So, you’ve probably noticed — we’ve been eating a lot of cake here at Ballymaloe.

We have cupcakes:

Whenever one of the cookery school students has a birthday, they get a cake:

‘Till, finally it was time to make our own. Mine was an orange cake, filled with orange buttercream. Yum! And do you see what that is on top? That’s right! It’s the return of the candied peel!
